Before submitting an Application Form to Adsense

adsense approvalWhen you make a blog or start your own website you'd come across a term Adsense. Google Adsense actually. Following may be the reasons why you'd like to read this article.
  • You were blogging just for fun but suddenly discovered that you can even earn via advertising. Of course, Adsense is the first choice. Then you went googling & landed here.
  • Your sole aim after blogging/website building was to make some extra bucks. If you've seeded & watered, you'd hopefully wait for fruits & flowers, No Doubt.
We'll take it from here considering ourselves a newbie.

1. First step of yours before submitting an application to Adsense is to check whether you & your blog/website are eligible for the program or not?

  • You have to be at least 18 years old.
  • Your blog/website must be in comply with Adsense Policies.
A short overview of Adsense Policies

2. Next, your blog/website has to be atleast 6 months old. This is more known as 6-months-rule these days. However the rule is applied to few countries & picture is not clear about the countries to whom it is applied, 'cause Google has only mentioned India & China in the following statement.
In some locations, including China and India, we require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months.
It is believed that this so called 6-month-rule is applicable to countries where you cannot change the Payee Name once the Application is approved.
So the countries listed under this restriction are listed on Change Payee Name.

3. By approving your application Google Adsense approves you as one of their partners representing them on your blog/website. So thinking this way, you have to develop a standard that Adsense expects from their publishers.

- Copyright violation is most common reason, along with Unacceptable Site Content.

iii. Your website is easy to Navigate.
- Tough Navigation is another common reason.

iv. Content that Adsense doesn't care about like: Unacceptable Site Content Reasons.
- Illegal distribution of pirated softwares or entertainment stuff.

vi. Insufficient Site Content
- This includes both number of posts and number of words in each post.
